Web3 Gaming Becomes Part of University Curriculum
Nakamoto Games becomes the first Web3 project to integrate GameFi into tertiary education
At the beginning of March, Nakamoto Games announced an initiative to recruit Thailand's best young engineers and developers, spreading the word about Web3 gaming nationwide. We are thrilled to announce that our grassroots efforts have been even more fruitful than expected.
We have become the first Web3 gaming platform to enter a permanent collaboration with a tertiary educational institution. Our partnership is with the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (INT) by Mahidol University, one of Thailand’s best universities.
We began searching for top talent in software engineering by conducting local Web3 building contests and hackathons in several Thai universities. The best of the best from each university are now developing Web3 games and GameFi Protocols in exchange for generous grants and opportunities, using Nakamoto Games' developer tools.
Additionally, the winning games from these contests will be hosted on the Nakamoto Games' website for the public to enjoy. Our hackathon ignited interest in Web3 development across all universities, so much so that we are entering a permanent agreement with a top global educational institution, Mahidol University.
Mahidol University, located in Bangkok, Thailand, ranks #512 globally. The university is renowned for its high-quality education and research programs in various fields, including programming, engineering, and marketing.
Mahidol University offers courses that would benefit immensely from Web3 knowledge. These include computer graphics, artificial intelligence, and software engineering, to name just a small sample. Students are equipped with practical skills and knowledge to build robust and efficient software systems.
Our CEO, Chawalit Rugsasri, has conducted two meetings with Associate Assistant Professor Dr. Panon Lacharoj, Deputy Director of Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (iNT), and Dr. Tinnapob Phengpom of Mahidol University. They discussed the cooperation agreement and plan on signing the MOU at the end of April. Dr. Tinnapob Phengpom is currently in the process of drafting the necessary documents.
The agreement aims to offer guidance to startups, SMEs, and the gaming industry in Thailand. This includes providing advice on game development, organizational management, product promotion, and enabling competitiveness in the global market using blockchain and Web3 technology.
Our team of industry experts will advise the university on how GameFi projects function and grows, using Nakamoto Games as a prime example. They will hold lectures for students, inform them of opportunities to work with Nakamoto Games and teach students what is possible in the world of Web3.
Nakamoto Games’ integration into one of Thailand's leading universities marks a significant milestone for our platform and the GameFi industry. As the first-ever GameFi startup to integrate into a university anywhere in the world, NAKA has set a new standard in Web3 gaming.
The permanent mention of NAKA as a shining example of what is possible in GameFi will inspire students and be a testament to our success. This positions our ecosystem as a prime example for students and aspiring entrepreneurs and paves the way for our future growth and development.
We believe that our relationship will endure and thrive for many years. As engineers, programmers, and developers, we are honored to be acknowledged as a leading model in the tech industry. Our success in crypto, blockchain, and Web3 serves to inspire a younger generation in Thailand, showcasing the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead in these emerging technologies.
